Hi! I'm Seneca Organ (they/them). I grew up in Southern California then moved to Upstate New York where my passion for filmmaking and photography took flight.

Why Photography?
I grew up with my dad always taking pictures with his big Nikon cameras. I took photos with him at my cousin's baseball games. He taught me how to hold a camera, how to focus the lens and so much more. I always liked taking pictures with my phone or my dad's cameras, but my passion really sparked in 2024. My parents got me a Nikon point and shoot camera and I took it with me when I went to the Adirondacks. One of my friends who came on the trip also brought her camera. We took pictures the whole weekend. I really enjoyed capturing nature at its finest. Since that trip, I've been taking pictures of things that I find interesting to the human eye.
I started editing my pictures on Adobe Lightroom after the ADK trip. It was a fun experience finding all the features and learning on my own how to edit.
Why Film?
I got into filmmaking and screenwriting when I watched Stranger Things. I was in seventh grade and a lot of kids in my grade were so excited that season four of Stranger Things was coming out. I've never heard of the show before. My best friend told me that I should watch it and I would enjoy it. So, I started episode one, season one. I was hooked. I watched all four seasons in a span of three days. I've never liked a series so much like I like Stranger Things. I became a nerd. I watched every behind the senses I could find. I watched all the press interviews and got to know the actors. I even got up at three in the morning to watch the premier of the second volume of season four.
I remember eating dinner with my parents one summer night and telling them all the facts of the show. While "nerd-ing" out for a while, I came to the realization that I too could write a story like Stranger Things. My parents were on board with the idea and we immediately were coming up with ideas. That night I found a screenwriting teacher and my passion of screenwriting sky rocketed.

Outside of Film and Photos
Softball
I played baseball for nine years. I wanted to play the game because I grew up watching my cousins playing the sport and wanted to do it to because they were. I started playing when I was five and fell in love. I played every position, but my favorite was pitcher. I then switched to softball when I was in seventh grade. I grew to love softball way more than baseball because the players would talk to me and it was a faster paced game. I did one year of modified and mainly played catcher and second base. I then made the varsity team in eight grade. I started out playing second base then got moved to center field. I never really liked outfield because I got no action, but that quickly changed during varsity. I got more action then ever in CF. I got better and better at tracking and catching pop flies as the season went on. My freshmen year I was placed a first team all-star in my devision (I was the only freshmen on first team) . Center field became my favorite position. I was able to use my speed, knowledge and leadership every time I stepped on that grass. One of my favorite thing about softball is that there's always space for improvement and growth as a player and person. My dad and I would go up to the field on the weekend and work on fielding and batting. Every practice and game, I get to work on my leadership skills and sharing positive energy with my team.

Adirondacks
Traveling is one of my favorite things to do. My parents and I mainly go to L.A. to visit family. Some of my other favorite trips we've been on outside L.A. was Boston, Philadelphia, Chicago and the Adirondacks.
It was really cloudy and rainy when we went to Boston. My favorite part of the trip was eating clam chowder and ratting lemonade at all the restaurants we ate at.
I went to Philadelphia when I was in my revolutionary nerd phase. My fourth grade social studies teacher told me about the Museum of American Revolution (MAR) and my little nerd self was geeking out. I told my parents and the next thing I know, that summer, we went on a three day trip to Philly. We saw went to Rocky steps, ate some good food and went to MAR!
Chicago was one of my favorite trips I've been on with my parents. Our hotel was in a non tourist spot, so the vibes were really chill. We went to a pizza making class where we all made little deep dish pizzas. We saw the big bean and saw a White Sox game. it was super hot the three days we were there, but it was super fun and all the food was scrumptious.
Early summer of 2024, some of my friends and I went to Darrien Lake up in the Adirondacks for three days. It was my first time going on a trip without my parents. It was super fun! we were out in nature the whole three days. Our campsite was on Darrien lake, so we were able to swim and paddle board. We also went on a three hour hike. The trek was crazy, but the view at the top of the mountain was worth it. There was a lot of laughing and goofiness happening for the whole trip.
MUSIC
Listening to music is one of my favorite things to do. I always have it playing in the background of whatever I'm doing. My favorite band is Red Hot Chili Peppers. I found them while listening to the octane station with my dad. I fell in love with their song "Under The Bridge". I replayed that song over and over again. My favorite album of theirs is "Stadium Arcadium". There's no skippable songs on that album; it's soooo good. I was fortunate enough to see them in concert July 12, 2024. My mind was blown and I was vibing to every song they played. I even learned how to play "Californiacation" and the intro to "Under The Bridge" on guitar!
Besides RHCP, I love Def Lepard, Hallorado, 311, Cage the Elephant. White Reaper, Spiritual Cramp, Tears for Fears, The Beaches, Hauskey, and Peach Tree Rascals.
For Christmas, I was gifted a record player. There's a record store in the nearest kitchen that has a bunch of second hand records. This record store got me into, Fleatwood Mac, Areosmith, The Cars and The Who.
